Changelog

What's new

We keep our guides current and we show our work. Here is what we have shipped recently — the same updates every member gets automatically.

Payments

Alipay made the primary checkout rail

Paying with Alipay now doubles as a live confirmation that your Alipay setup works before you fly. Stablecoin payment was demoted to a fallback option rather than an equal choice.

Editorial

Absolute claims removed sitewide

Unverifiable phrasing such as “kills 90% of it” and “one of the world’s safest big cities” was replaced with hedged, checkable statements.

Sourcing

Single source registry with review windows

Review dates moved out of six separate page files into one registry. Topics past their review window now declare themselves unverified instead of showing a stale date.

Images

Wikimedia Commons attribution rendered

Photos sourced from Wikimedia Commons now display the file, a link back to its Commons page and the CC BY-SA licence, as the licence requires.

Sourcing & freshness

Every claim that can expire, and when we last checked it.

Travel rules change. Rather than implying the whole site is permanently current, each time-sensitive topic carries its own review date and official source. Topics past their review window are flagged here and on the page itself, and are marked unverified until re-checked.
