Weather, health & packing: Guilin is subtropical; the best months are April–October, with heavy rain likely in May–June — pack a light rain jacket and quick-dry shoes. Pharmacies (药店) are in every town; drink bottled water.
Step-free / wheelchair: Metro stations have lifts and barrier-free (无障碍) access; older lanes and temple thresholds can be uneven — ask staff for the accessible entrance and ramp.
